Toolship privacy policy

Effective October 7, 2026. Published by Bizniz Devs.

The short version. Toolship has no server, no account system, and no sign-in. We don't collect, store, or sell your personal information ourselves, and almost everything the app does happens on your own device. The one exception is ads: the app shows ads through Google AdMob, and Google collects some device information to show and measure them. The Advertising section explains what that is and how to control it.

What the app does with your data, tool by tool

Calculators, converters, text tools, generators

The large majority of the app. These run entirely on your device. Nothing you type into them is sent anywhere, saved by us, or seen by us. Your currency choice in Settings is saved on your device only.

Currency Converter

To show live exchange rates, this tool requests current rate data from a third-party rate provider (exchangerate-api.com) over the internet. The request does not include your name, location, device ID, or any other personal information. It is a plain request for the public exchange rate table. If it fails, the tool falls back to a built-in offline rate table stored in the app.

Invoice, Receipt, Pay Stub, Resume and Trucking Invoice generators

Whatever you type into these, such as names, amounts, and addresses, is used only to generate a PDF on your own device. That PDF is never sent to us or to any server. When you tap Share, your device's own share sheet opens and you choose where the file goes.

The Trucking Invoice tool saves your company name, address, MC and DOT numbers, and payment instructions in local storage on your device, so you don't have to retype them. They never leave your device, and they are removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall it.

QR Code Generator

The QR code is created on your device. When you tap Save / Share, the image is handed to your device's share sheet, and you choose where it goes.

Audio Recorder

Asks for microphone access only when you tap Start recording, and only to record the clip you asked for. The recording is saved on your device and is never uploaded, transmitted, or accessed by us. You choose whether to share or discard it.

Favorites

When you star a tool, that preference is saved in local storage on your device only, so your favorites are still there next time you open the app. It is never transmitted anywhere.

What we don't do

Advertising

Toolship is free to use and supported by ads. The app shows banner ads and full-screen (interstitial) ads served by Google AdMob.

What Google collects

To show and measure ads, Google AdMob and its advertising partners may collect and use your device's advertising ID, your IP address and the approximate location it implies, device and software details (such as model and operating system version), and how you and the app interact with ads (which ads are shown and tapped, plus diagnostics). Google handles this data under its own privacy policy. You can read how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Your choices

Permissions the app requests

INTERNET Used for the Currency Converter's live-rate lookup, for loading ads, and to let the app's file-sharing features work.

MICROPHONE Used only for the Audio Recorder tool, only while you're actively recording, and only after you tap to start.

NETWORK STATE AD ID Used by the Google ads library to check your connection and to read your advertising ID, subject to the choices described above.

The app does not request access to your contacts, photos, camera, or precise location.

Children's privacy

Toolship is a general-purpose utility app intended for adults (18 and over). It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If what the app does changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change.
